The Balama blanket is made from a combination of natural wool and alpaca fiber. The wool gives volume while the alpaca fiber adds insulating qualities and an extremely soft touch.
To achieve the desired feel and durability of the Balama blanket, a fine selection of Peruvian alpaca fibers and Australian merino wool are used. The fibers are processed by skilled craftsmen in Lithuania, who have gained extensive experience in working with these fibers for over 50 years.
The journey from raw material to finished cover requires more than 20 different operations, but guarantees a top quality product that, with the right care, will last for many years.
