Columbus Monte Carlo Kid's Club
The concept
We were very happy to be tasked with creating the first ever kids club at the Columbus Monte Carlo Hotel
Le Planning
Planning such a concept takes a lot of time and many discussions took place between us and the hotel's marketing team. The idea was to offer a very fun kids club during the summer months, a place where children would have fun, play, eat so it would be a time for parents to relax!
The key element was to create a children's club that was not filled with plastic toys, to create a much more aesthetically pleasing place for children to play and which was in keeping with the surroundings of the Columbus - the beautiful sea! A large hotel suite was to be transformed into this space and a balcony transformed into an outdoor play area... complete with beach toys to reinforce the seaside theme. Les Petits only carries premium, sustainable brands and also offers an interior design service, so the combination was perfect!
The main backdrop of the space is a stunning Munks & Me Under the Sea mural. Since we couldn't wallpaper the entire room, we had to get creative.
All the toys and decor were chosen based on the colors of the mural - very cool sea blue, aquamarine and turquoise tones were mixed with splashes of sand and some sparkling accessories of course.
A huge Toddlekind Modular Nordic Clay play mat was chosen as the floor play area - a very nice play mat which is non-toxic and, importantly, doesn't look like a play mat.
Once the key items are chosen, the fun begins with the toys and decor.

L'Installation
The installation of the room took place a few weeks before the launch of the children's club.
First, there was the Under the Sea Mural. Munks & Me murals come in panels, labeled A-E, making hanging and setting up a breeze.
Once they were laid out, we were able to install the Toddlekind Play Mat . It comes in squares and is modular, meaning you can add or remove pieces as much as you want to create a playmat that fits your space exactly!
Next comes the Tipi Tent from Kid's Concept , then the sea-themed soft toys from Meri Meri. Who wouldn't like to see Cosmo the Giant Octopus hiding in his teepee tent or Louie the Turtle playing on his Wobbel board?
Play Areas
The key to fun and constructive play for children is to create dedicated "play zones" in a playroom.
As part of the children's club, we have created distinct areas: an Active Play area, with a Ball Pool, a Rocking Horse and a Wobbel Balance Board.
We then created a reading and relaxation area, ideal for children who want to relax.
A role play area with the Kid's Concept Wooden Kitchen, the Miniland Educational Dolls and the Kid's Concept Pram.
As part of the children's club, we have created distinct areas: an Active Play area, with a Ball Pool, a Rocking Horse and a Wobbel Balance Board.

Outdoor space
We did not fail to give a nod to the Monte-Carlo Grand Prix by including the Grand Prix Flexible Automobile Circuit from Way to Play Toys. Candylab cars - wooden cars with a very kitschy vintage Americana style - are perfect for racing around the track.

Liewood's beach toys created the perfect atmosphere, with the Striped Blue Inflatable Pool filled with sand - essential for building sandcastles with the Liewood Sea Creature Beach Set. You'll also find beach games, including the Ring Toss Game and the Wooden Mini Golf Set.

Columbus Hotel Kids club Reservation and details
The Columbus kids club is back this year for July and August, with space available for little ones outside the hotel (preference will be given to hotel guests).
You can book a full day, full of games and activities with a delicious lunch also served.
